World’s First Telugu Pub Launched by Ram Gopal Varma at Maredumilli Restaurant

Innovative Telugu filmmaker Kuchipudi Venkat has unveiled yet another remarkable creation in the Hyderabad food scene. Venkat’s new venture, the “Maredumilli” restaurant, offers delightful cuisine in a serene, forest-like setting and was inaugurated by celebrated director SS Rajamouli. Taking his innovation even further, Venkat introduced the world’s first Telugu Pub, featuring the unique character DJ Apparao and serving the world’s premier “Beertail.”

Acclaimed director Ram Gopal Varma inaugurated the Telugu Pub and commended Venkat on his latest venture. Varma praised the groundbreaking “Beertail” and “DJ Apparao” concepts, predicting they will become smash hits. The authentic Telugu Pub will host guests every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Kuchipudi Venkat achieved popularity as a director with films such as Modati Cinema and John Apparao 40 Plus. Venkat has created a reputation for himself in the hospitality industry after taking a break from filmmaking. He explained that the Telugu Pub concept arose from his view that Telugu music deserves to be played in pubs just as much as Western music. His ambition to blend diverse beers with traditional Telugu flavors inspired the “Beertail” concept.

While the Telugu Pub is located within the Maredumilli Restaurant complex, it is situated on a separate floor to ensure the comfort of all guests. Venkat also announced his return to film direction, revealing that he is working on a satirical script about inconsiderate people who waste others’ time. Additionally, he disclosed plans to expand Kuchipudi Pulao with upcoming franchises. Well-known producer Suman Varma and writer BVS Ravi participated in the inauguration and extended their congratulations to Venkat.
